Who knew that Russians were really liberals. “Do as we say willingly or we will impose it upon you.”

Well, not the worst demands and what else do you expect in a war?
To: blueplum
The Russians have been trying to “impose their will” since they began raping and pillaging Ukraine. The Ukes aren’t having it.

Russian is stuck in a stalemate on the battlefield because it is fundamentally unable to generate sufficient military force to overcome Ukraine as long as NATO and US continue to provide support. For lack of anything better, Lavrov and Putin continue to repeat worn out threats and rationales. Yet the intelligence agencies and news media in both Israel and Germany firmly reject Russia's claim that Ukraine is infested with Nazis. And no one regards Russia and Putin as credible negotiating partners.
The correlation of forces is shifting irreversibly against Putin and Russia. Casualties are mounting, domestic support for the war is declining, and the Russian economy will be in crisis by the spring. Putin and his regime may look solidly in power, but the way of autocracies is that they look that way until suddenly something pops and they fall apart. If nothing else, the loss of Crimea next year is likely to cause a military collapse and existential crisis for the regime.

Exactly. The orcs are having their asses handed to them on the battlefield, but that doesn’t stop their laughable propaganda machine.
To: blueplum
They have been trying to impose their demands for at least 10 months. Has anything changed? I don’t think so.

The country is in ruins and most of their fighting age men are dead. The country is in ruins BECAUSE the russians invaded, and in a country of 44 million people its nonsense to say "most of their fighting men are dead".
The Biden administration is considering a dramatic expansion in the training the US military provides to Ukrainian forces, including instructing as many as 2,500 Ukrainian soldiers a month at a US base in Germany, according to multiple US officials.

The Blitz didn’t make the UK surrender and I don’t see why the Russian cruise missile attacks, which are less intense than the Blitz, should make Ukraine surrender. If most of the Ukrainian fighting age men were dead, the frontlines would be collapsing, but that’s not happening.
To: PIF
Tactical push backs will not be enough for Ukraine to win but are useful for keeping Russian forces pinned down and suffering casualties. Ukraine's best prospect for a strategic victory is to attack and take Crimea after cutting its supply lines. The loss of Crimea will be a definitive reverse for Russia and may prompt a military and political collapse.
