I realize that there is advantage of waging wars 10,000 miles away from your country, but you actually make perfect point on why Putin’s intervention is justified and NATO can’t be allowed in Ukraine.
Regarding the rest it is just a baloney and you know it. Your frustration is based on fake patriotism, because the way Biden inserted the US into it means that the loss of Ukraine is going to be a final nail into the coffin of the American global leadership, and probably the end of dollar as a reserve currency and related hyperinflation. You also realize that nobody is going to allow the US any bloodless interventions without the involvement of great powers on the other side.

If its about vital parts of Russia being in range of NATO attack - this war has royally pissed off the Poles, Baltics and Finns. All of whom are much closer to important parts of Russia than Ukraine. Finland is now NATO.
