TOKYO, Dec 26 (Reuters) - Toyota Motor Corp (7203.T) reported on Monday a 1.5% rise in November global vehicle output, reaching a new record of 833,104.
Domestic production slid 3.3% to 266,174 vehicles, while overseas output rose 3.8% to an all-time high of 566,930 for the month.
Global sales and production in November exceeded last year's levels due to solid demand, particularly in North America, and a recovery in parts supplies that had been impacted by COVID-19 slowdowns, Toyota said.

By mixing monthly production stats with yearly stats, Reuters manages to make the article read like the “Chocolate ration” quote in 1984.
“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grammes a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be REDUCED to twenty grammes a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
I want a Toyota Hilux with the optional .3o caliber mounted on it.
It reads okay to me. They set a record in November, but due to ongoing production cost and supply issues, they won't make their projected goal for the year.
Toyota is one of the few who still sell cars vs SUV’s and trucks. The CEO has said out loud the truth that people want ICE vehicles. They may be our only choice at some point.

Very true - the question is how long can Toyota hold out, as the Globalists are TOTALLY SERIOUS about ending gasoline cars, including hybrids.
So, if I were a Toyota exec, I’d be really careful about who gets their hands on my personal laptop and phone...
Too bad both Ford and GM have gone woke with the electric vehicles. I will have to sell my shares and buy Toyota.

I bought a Subaru sedan last year & I know other people who still like sedans. Makes no sense for American car companies to stop making them.
