Ebenezer means “stone of help.” From then on, every time an Israelite saw the stone erected by Samuel, he would have a tangible reminder of the Lord's power and protection. The name and his appearance tell me he is either a recent immigrant from Nigeria or from a Nigerian-American family.
As such, his mind set is one of a Socialist or Communist.
They are not known for tolerating or encouraging different points of view. Notice Kwanza and BLM are just fine.
