I’m not going to disagree with you on this point.
I don’t own an electric car. Nor do I have plans to buy one. No one I know owns an electric car.
But this is not my point.
There will come a time when the price point of electric cars meets that of ICE engines—or even falls below that of ICE engines. There will come a time when the range of electric cars meets that of ICE engines. At that point the economics of electric cars becomes wildly more compelling than that of ICE engines. Why? Because maintenance on electric cars is roughly zero for about the first 500K miles.
We’re not there yet. Might be a long time before we get there. Might be a short time. Might be never.
Musk’s plan for electric cars has been to immitate the progress of the ICE engine cars in the 1890’s-1910. They were first expensive and built for the wealthy. Henry Ford changed that with the model T. His manufacturing process made that possible.
That’s what Musk is aiming at.
Will he succeed? We’ll see.

But it will still not make the usage of fossil fuels decrease. The only way that can be accomplished is to diminish the provision of comforts like heated & air conditioned homes. Greatly reducing the time periods electricity is available for consumption, or perhaps even who is given access to consumption. The fact that that is even a possible solution that they speak about, means that they would not hesitate implementing ways of doing so.
Like, oh I don't know, biological weapons, and "vaccines" to render vast numbers of women incapable of carrying pregnancy to term, or making making males sterile by decreasing sperm counts?
You see, you are talking about there being time for innovations to occur, when I am trying to convey to you that the elites are conspiring for a total different reality to reduce the world's population numbers.

That's really my whole point in this discussion. The only alternative would be an increased nuclear power generation footprint. But given what the chatter is among the elites, their solution is to eliminate vast numbers of human beings. That is their true motivation, to get rid of people and make them safer, with more control with less numbers to deal with.

yes the elites have been working at population control since the late 60’s or so when a book by paul ehrlich called the population bomb and the club of rome’s Limit’s of Growth....
Both books made the same point as Malthus made in his book in 1799. That the population was outstripping food supply.

Elon Musk is right. the problem now is not too many people but too few people. some really bad stuff is already baked into the future because of population decreases.
maybe not. automation is going to scale up like you wouldn’t believe. that means that productivity is going to go way up in the future. As well, I believe that the cost of energy is going to come down significantly—not in the next 3-4 years. energy is a primary driver for productivity. Ten years from now we are going to live in a wildly different energy world.
So yeah. I don’t think you’re a conspiracy theorist. Rather population control has been the regime of the elites since the late 60’s. Its a madness not unlike that which gripped the Caananites. They actually worshipped the creator God—but it looks like centuries of drought and land degradation caused them to worship the rain god. In modern terms they changed from an abundance mindset to a scarcity mindset. The book of Job chronicles the first bow wave of this transition.
That being said, my point is that technology is making fools of the global elites. But they just understand or care.

The elites are in far more control then you may believe, but look around & see what they have actually done. They created a plandemic & a "vaccine" that is not even close to being what it's being called. They have destroyed the largest wealth creation economy ever created. They have destroyed a considerable percentage of the middle class. They have installed crooked corrupt people in positions of power who are more than willing to deliver the nations they rule over. They are promoting & allowing mass immigration to weaken western societal nations that used to operate on law & order to alter them into cesspools fomenting lawlessness & chaos.
The only way we will be able to defeat them is for people to wake up and begin to push back.
So, no it is not a different animal or even topic for that matter. They are all intertwined, and the sooner people wake up the sooner we can begin to make positive changes. If we don't they will succeed.

That's all well & good, but have you been paying attention to the elites buying up farmland & ranches? Have you been paying attention as to how strict controls are being enacted to drastically reduce the use of fertilizers? Have you been paying attention of what has been going on in the Netherlands forcing farm owners out of business? Have you been paying attention to the worldwide phenomenon of food processing plants suddenly experiencing destruction?
Do you believe these things just happened naturally?

No, the reality is that they have control of technology, and Musk is working on AI. So, is he with them or against them, and is he strong enough to defeat them? My guess is that he isn't, and is the reason he did his little poll to ask if he stays or goes as CEO of Twitter.
Remember those with the power, have all options available at their disposal. If Mush is against them, they will take him out. Only the Lord would be able to thwart their nefarious plans, which is why people need to get back to the Lord. But even that depends on people waking up.
