Instagram v. reality! San Francisco unveils taxpayer-funded open-air Christmas market that's become dystopian hellhole after being besieged by city's famed druggies

San Francisco's taxpayer-funded open air Christmas market, hoped to be a wholesome holiday outing for families, is in fact a dystopian hellhole besieged by the city's famed drug addicts.

At least that's what concerned residents living near the market have revealed to DailyMail.com, with one property owner filming and posting to social media what she's described to be a 'horrible decline' in the area.

Her clip shows a homeless person under a blanket just a few yards away from the Winter Wanderland market in the sunken Hallidie Plaza, near City Hall.

Whoever had the bright idea of selecting Hallidie Plaza as the site of this “winter festival” must have been on some hardcore drugs themselves. That below-street-level plaza near the main tourist cable-car stop has been seedy as hell for *decades*. This isn’t a situation in which drugged-out bums invaded a place where no one expected them. In this case, the drugged-out bums were there first.

Talk about coincidences. The author of this piece bemoaning the SF invasion of druggies is named "Aneeta Bhole"?

That's what Hunter and thousands of other addicts are saying when they dream longingly of their pipe full of coke, meth, or even a little hash.

Downtown San Francisco’s economic recovery has been uneven, and 2021 saw episodes of large-scale retail theft.

The city’s offices have the lowest occupancy of any major city, as its tech-focused workforce continues to work from home. That has shuttered many businesses and left the streets eerily empty, further allowing crime to proliferate.

Union Square’s holiday tree saw some mischief and vandalism earlier in the month but organizers weren’t worried going into the festive season.

San Francisco is governed by a leadership who appear to have set their priorities on masking the ever-present and deteriorating situation in its downtown district.

You are entirely correct. That area is homeless central, and has been so since the Agnos administration.

Given the $900 or whatever freebie stealing limit any vendor displaying stuff out in the open at this Christmas market would be what? Crazy?

They're liberals. They decided to promote equality by putting some Christmas (even though liberalism is decidedly anti-Christ) cheer in the midst of social chaos.

Liberalism is a disease that must be eradicated. Clearly, Western White Man doesn't have the courage to do it, so it will be done by whomever takes control after we implode.

My bet is on the Chinks. They've already put into place enough of their kind to form an army. And they own all of our politicians already.

Hallidie Plaza, near City Hall was a filthy haven for bums and druggies in 1973 when I move to SF. We moved down the Peninsula, but every time we went to the city we knew to stay away from that area. The city has tolerated that filth in that area for over 50 years. It should be a shining jewel of the city with the gorgeous city hall building and the sprawling plaza, but it’s as far from that as possible.

I just posted the same thing in #17. The entire City Hall area was a filthy, disgusting sh1thole for bums and addicts when I moved there in 1973.

Year after year, decade after decade the “tolerance” rolls on with no change in sight.

I moved to SF 15 years before Agnos was elected mayor. The City Hall area was extraordinarily bad then.
