I am always behind the curve on Muslim news.

Are the Kurds pro or anti Sunni?
Are they pro or anti Shiite?
Who hates them (Turks?) and who doesn’t?

Can someone here fill me in with their knowledge, please?

Kurdistan is divided between Turkey, Iraq, Iran and Syria. About 3/4 of the Kurds are Sunni Muslims — there are other religions there, some familiar, some obscure — but the Kurds are so much opposed to the governments that rule them that religion isn’t as big a factor there as it is in the rest of the Middle East. The Kurds fought against Isis which they saw as another gang of outsiders trying to rule over them. But I’m not an expert either.
