Bankman-Fried's Incredible Shrinking ‘$250 Million Bond’ The FTX founder signs another remarkable deal.
Coindesk ^ | 12-23-22 | James Murphy

Posted on 12/23/2022 12:56:19 PM PST by dynachrome

In the typical federal case, a bail bondsman would charge between 10%-15% of the bail amount in cash to issue a surety bond or “bail bond.” In the case of Bankman-Fried’s astronomical bond, 15% of $250 million would be $37.5 million. But Bankman-Fried did not pay $37.5 million for his bond. No, Bankman-Fried actually paid no cash atIn this case, Bankman-Fried was not required to post a conventional bail bond. Instead, Bankman-Fried was simply released from custody on something called a personal recognizance bond. The personal recognizance bond contains Bankman-Fried’s solemn promise (and his parents’ promise) to pay the court $250 million if he fails to show up for trial at the appointed time. Yes, you read that right. Bankman-Fried walked out of court essentially a free man by signing a piece of paper where he promised to pay the court $250 million if he decides to flee to another country with no extradition. This, of course, is totally absurd. all for his “$250 million bond.” Nothing. Zero.

That will probably be the cover story

A “botched robbery” ya know

Yeah. That’s the ticket.

I asked about this on another thread. Which bail bondsman would put up $200 million? Which bail bondmsan has $200 million. This explains a lot. Nobody put up anything.

As I also said on that same post, this has obviously all been pre-arranged.

“We haven’t quite decided yet whether he committed suicide or died trying to escape.”

Do you think the same thing would happen, if he bad mouthed the Hildebeast? 🤗😀🤪😁

Bankman-Fried also got a loophole lawyer a friend of Biden to grease the skids.

Part of Bankman-Fried bond deal he has to see a shrink (loophole) before going to trial.

Democrat grease all over the place

indeed ... the $250,000,000 bond is a sick joke since it’s a “persona recognizance” bond AND 100% collateral won’t be required ... that means the $250,000,000 bond amount is simply kabuki theater, equally as real as the claimed “value” for FTT crypto prior to FTX/alameda implosion ...

Well, yesterday we had the story about Florida guy hammering a raccoon. And Freed is going home mighty close to Nanzi’s place where Ol Pauli got hammered. It seems like hammering is getting to be a fad so The Freed needs to stay away from carpenters and car body repairmen? Hope the home cameras are all working.

“I believe I heard that the “papers” that were signed were liens on real property of his parents and friends.”

$250,000,000 worth? the parents house is a $4 million domicile and the “equity” was pledged ... i wonder how much “equity” they have in that dwelling?

Steal $39K in a bank robbery and bail is set at $300k.

Steal billions and a pinky-promise will suffice.

I would not get this deal.

However. I would rather see someone like him on an OR bond than the violent rapists and murders the Soros DA’s let out.
