Share Tweet ... More House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) on Friday gave an approximately 25-minute floor speech opposing a $1.7 trillion omnibus government funding package, his final show of opposition to the funding bill before its expected passage later that day.
“This is a monstrosity. That is one of the most shameful acts I’ve ever seen in his body,” McCarthy said. “The appropriations process has failed the American public, and there’s no greater example of the nail in the coffin of the greatest failure of a one-party rule of the House, the Senate and the presidency.”

Well Kevin, tell your damn caucus to vote against it... No, demand they vote it down.
He is thrilled he does not have to deal with it for another year. Kabuki from the RINO. If he does not win Speakership in 1st or 2nd vote early next year, alternatives will emerge. And it won’t be Democrats
Empty cans make the most noise.
“Is this theater or did he find his gonads??”
He should get an academy award for his performances lately.
Dems still control the House and with RINO votes it will pass and Pedo Joe will sign in.
DC is run by BIG pharma, BIG banks, BIG tech, BIG media and BIG corporations. We don’t stand a chance.
FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument
It McCarthy was reading Free Republic, he could have saved the corrupt House 24 minutes by reading the following expert clarifications that the states have never expressly constitutionally given the feds the specific power to spend tax dollars for either state power issues or foreign aid. (There! You just read the gist of the excerpts below.)
"Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States." —Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
“If the tax be not proposed for the common defence, or general welfare, but for other objects, wholly extraneous, (as for instance, for propagating Mahometanism among the Turks, or giving aids and subsidies to a foreign nation, to build palaces for its kings, or erect monuments to its heroes,) it would be wholly indefensible upon constitutional principles [emphases added].” — Justice Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution 2 (1833).
ALL the states desperately need to effectively "secede" from the unconstitutionally big federal government by repealing the 16th (direct taxes) and 17th (popular voting for federal senators) Amendments.
Theater. He's voting for it, if he hasn't already done so. If he wanted to be a true leader, he could lead all republicans to vote against this monstrosity. I suspect the graft is just too good for that.
Roy called out many porkers by name.
Theater—100%
How about something novel. The house sends the years spending bills to the Senate by May.
Wow GOP dinging. We are saved I tell ya!!!
Well, O'Reilly should know.
Frank is going, “Ooooh Kevin, you’re so butch!”
That is one of the most shameful acts I’ve ever seen.
He shouldn’t be surprised after all he’s dealing with democrats it’s all they know what to do.
He will condemn “in the strongest possible terms.”
