Their plan is to continue to lose so they can wring their hands and fundraise off it.

"Rats are not the number one enemy. RINO traitors are."

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly." "But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself." "For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men." "He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist." "A murderer is less to fear.." ― Marcus Tullius Cicero

It is depressing. It is also a rigged game, which I will no longer participate in.

A case to support what you wrote, the MD governor actively campaigns for the Dem candidate running for governor.

A test case coming up: will the House Republicans vote in a conservative as the new speaker or will they vote in McConnell’s counterpart: Kevin McCarthy?

To sum all that up: One bird, two wings.
The GOP wing is as useless as teats on a boar hog to its constituency. The DNC wing is insane..
It’s time to move on.

....thank you....! I stand corrected - you are a scholar and a gentleman....!! yes, indeed...you virtually never see democrats break ranks on anything, but republicans almost always do...I was not at all surprised to see the RINO Senator Cornyn’s name on that list...Texans deserve better, for sure....!!

Mark Twain is quoted as saying "When congress is in session no american is safe."

Will Rogers actually said "I am not a member of any organized political party. I am a Democrat."

Will Rogers also said "With Congress, every time they make a joke it's a law, and every time they make a law it's a joke."

Republicans are living in the past. That's what traditionalists and conservatives do by nature.

Revolutionaries like Marxists are always living in the future (because the past is littered with the wreckage of governments that tried to impose their unworkable ideology).

There's nothing wrong with traditionalists looking longingly at the good times gone by unless they are at war with Marxist revolutionaries who are living in the present and future and whose goal is the destruction of traditional culture.

BTW, Marxists aren't classical Liberals or Progressives. They are just hiding behind those labels so they can implement their pitiful ideology.

Can we call them "RINO traitors", or are they just mainstream Republicans protecting their insider status

I see it as option B, Mr. Jeeves, But unfortunately it is the pill that those on the right refuse to swallow.

I became an “independant” in 2021, on January 7. The GOP can kiss my A$$. Great rant by the way!

Whether you like him or not, Newt Gingrich stated some years ago, that the main problem with DC are the unelected bureaucrats that stay within agencies for decades. Case in point - Fauci. These people are the true swamp denizens and removing them is nearly impossible.

While I liked and voted for President Trump, it was evident he did not possess a basic understanding of the U.S. Constitution. There are things he could do as President and head of the Executive Branch that could have helped. His hiring practices were also abysmal.

Not trying to lose. Merely believing the role the democrats have assigned to them.

It won't matter, the uniparty still wins. Listen I am a lifelong Republican, but they don't care about you or me. If the latest betrayal with the Omnibus bill hasn't opened your eyes to that reality, I don't know what to say. They just handed the gavel back to Nancy Pelosi for half of the term the Republican majority of Congress will have.

Remember that the definition of insanity is to keep doing what has repeatedly failed, expecting a different outcome the next time.

No, I am placing all my faith in the Lord, & Jesus as my savior. For Jesus is our only true savior. I hope you join me and leave the false prophet that is the Republican Party behind, but if not, you will see that your efforts are in vain. Awaken from the delusions & homage of the false savior the Republican Party. The only thing they care about is your vote. Thus the only thing you have left to deprive them of, is your vote. Your vote is just a cloak to provide the illusion of freedom.

Good post. You’re point here is foundational:

“There is no point in a taxes or spending focus because that is measured in a substance, money, created by the Fed from nothingness. How can whimsy define ideology?”

The same destructive principle is being applied to other foundational issues. The people are kept unbalanced and start looking for increasingly extreme fixes. Dangerous.

You do what you have to, I just think of my kids and grand kids and the more time that I can buy them, the better. Sad, they may lose in the end, but if Republicans can somehow win perhaps they’ll be able to get a better taste as to what America was.

You’re right there. But any new party of the people should have the right to refuse, and the right to revoke, membership. Otherwise you’re going to get more infiltrators. RINOS are nothing but infiltrators. We don’t want or need them.

Robson in Arizona and McCormick in Pennsylvania sure would have been better. I’m sick of putting up freak shows like Oz and others who just make our party look like complete fools. We need to begin taking a look at candidates before the primary and get rid of the idiots that always lose In the general.
