Is that ever true.. ditto to what they did to the environment in the Warsaw Pact satellite countries as well. I passed a former Soviet military base in Gräfenau in then-East Germany in 1990 and small river nearby looked like bubbling anti-freeze with its weird green color. God only knows what they dumped in that water.
