Why do some who want to commit suicide insist it be physician assisted, do they think this gives their choice more validity? There’s plenty of easy ways to kill yourself that doesn’t require the assistance of a doctor, so why involve them? We can see what is happening in Canada where it has been legalized and there’s already an abusive misuse of this law where some medical personnel are inappropriately recommending suicide for those with disabilities, so I’m leery as to where this is heading. Like maybe they will forego heroic measures to save anyone over a certain age because continued care for them is considered too costly for society? That’s the next step.
