FBI reached out to Twitter, sent trove of docs hours before Post broke Hunter laptop story

An FBI agent contacted a top Twitter executive hours before The Post published its first exposé about Hunter Biden’s questionable overseas business dealings in October 2020.

The FBI sprang into action just hours after The Post reached out to Hunter Biden for comment about his scandalous laptop — which contained details of the then-presidential candidate’s son and his extensive dealings with Chinese and other foreign business interests – warning Twitter and Facebook executives, without any evidence, that it was a Russian “hack and leak” operation.

A day later, Twitter and other social media companies censored The Post’s article, “preventing it from spreading and, more importantly, undermining its credibility in the minds of many Americans,” the latest release of Elon Musk’s “Twitter Files” revealed Monday.

FBI San Francisco Special Agent Elvis Chan sent 10 documents to Twitter’s then-head of site integrity Yoel Roth and at least one other person on the night of Oct. 13, 2020, via a special one-way communications channel, according to independent journalist Michael Shellenberger. Chan asked Roth and his colleagues to confirm they had received the documents.

Approximately two-and-a-half hours earlier, Shellenberger went on, Hunter Biden attorney George Mesires had called and emailed Delaware computer repair shop owner John Paul Mac Isaac after learning from The Post that the first article based on files recovered from the abandoned laptop would be published the next day.

“I am a lawyer for Hunter Biden and I appreciate you reviewing your records on this matter,” Mesires wrote to Mac Isaac.

It is not clear what was in the documents Chan emailed to Roth, who played a key role in suppressing The Post’s bombshell.

But the timing is uncanny and, as Shellenberger reported, Chan’s action was in keeping with a larger effort by the FBI to squelch speech on the platform

“Suppose, for the sake of argument that it was a “hack and leak” operation. So what?”

To me, it has all the hallmarks of an intelligence operation. Hunter Biden was so stoned, he didn't realize laptop cameras can easily be manipulated to record anything while open. Snowden talked about this intel collection method.

In addition, Hunter was so compromised he would never know or admit if his lap-top was stolen. Would he dare call police - "hey, a child hooker's pimp stole my laptop from my room while I was passed out?" NO.

Its interesting too that "the laptop" was delivered to a legally-blind computer repairman.

The information is true. Biden has certainly never denied it. So was it just a stoned Hunter who delivered his laptop to the repair shop? Was it a Russian? Or was it some patriot faction of our massive intelligence community?

Because Trump is a moron who appointed Wray

Why don't you aim your cannon at Christie who was supposedly a member of the R party?

Nothing in DC was “Trump’s” It belongs to the swamp and just about every GD bureaucrat there belongs to the democrats and pledged their allegiance to the Obama general orders. The entire swamp collaborated to make sure Trump could not win. But yeah. Trump’s biggest fault was actually trusting ANYONE associated with the swamp. He should have followed Buckley’s advice and just picked people randomly from the phone book for his cabinet and department heads.

Why would Trump's FBI listen to him?

Please tell me you really are not that stupid?

This sure sounds like a Major Felony punishable by 10-20 years in prison and since they used their Government Salary to run this Criminal Enterprise, 100% Civil Asset forfeiture is in order for the FBI/DOJ agents involved.

So you are saying Trump was stupid to listen to Christie?

Or Trump is not responsible for anything that happened because he let others pick for him?

Those make Trump stupid as well, especially with the FBI actions against him at the time.

You are not helping your case.

The government has no right to do this, but it did. There needs to be a special jail built just for criminal members of the fbi who did what their boss told them to do and violated the Constitution.

But there won’t be.

What I'm saying is that it's incredibly easy at this point in time to say what you're saying however, at the time the recommendation was made by Christie, the party members were supposed to be helping Trump. Let's not forget that Trump had trouble from the get go in actually getting people to serve in his administration so it's easily understood how much one could become reliant on those around them, especially when they're “new” in town. How quickly the nightmare of betrayal after betrayal is forgotten! This didn't all play out in a week, a month or a year. It's hilarious how many people actually believe they would have possessed some extra special insight that Trump didn't have and been able to see right through these backstabbers.

Excuses, excuses, excuses.

Trump just endorsed McCarthy and put up multiple WEF candidates in the 2022 primary, like Dr Azz.

The man is not fit to lead us anymore.
