In the Holocaust sometimes Jews would have to dig a mass grave and then would stand in line and get shot by the guards and fall into the grave one by one.

Sometimes they would shove the previous dead Jews into the grave, then stand there and get shot themselves.
I know this, and cannot understand their mindset.
Hitler was not stopped, and this happened.
Today’s ‘Hitlers’ are not being stopped - too similar - I just don’t understand.
