As I recall, Puerto Ricans were given 3 options in a referendum this week.
Statehood, independence, or to continue as a territory. I’ve not heard results, but am very curious. Anyone heard more ?
Statehood ( and 2 new D senators) has long been a goal for Ds but I’m not sure how the elections have changed the calculus.
The House passed a bill allowing a binding referendum for Puerto Rico, at a later date, tentatively November of this year.
