Very interesting, NO mansion of the current Economic conditions, are the Propaganda bureaucracies not concerned about the layoffs in their Ranks or are they willing to tell us about these unfortunate "learn to Code" layed off staff at the WoPo and other only AFTER the New Year?

Getting ready for some precious family time - no poisonous politics today. My 2 brothers & their wives are coming over to join mom & me for a fried oyster feast/brunch. This was our traditional Christmas morning breakfast after opening presents & before church when we were kids.

My dad requested an oyster dinner for his 100th birthday, but he fell Saturday before last & broke his hip - successful surgery was last Monday. He is currently in inpatient rehab & after we eat, we’ll all go see him. His actual birthday is tomorrow, but we were going to celebrate today since one brother had to come from out of town & has to be back at work tomorrow.

We feel very blessed with all that has happened since his accident - great docs & nurses who have gone an extra mile for him more than once. Hospitalist & PT impressed with activity level prior to fall, arm strength & attitude so they recommended him for inpatient rehab - 3 hours a day & he’s getting it both days this weekend, too. I told hospitalist first time I talked to him: NO nursing home. Period. He’s coming home to us - then inpatient was mentioned as an option. All I can say is God is good and we cherish every day with dad.
