The Constitution is dependent upon a moral people.
My response to Goemer is to not worry about how many people are getting killed. That’s how you clean up society eventually.

The problem isn’t how many people are being killed. It’s that the wrong ones are being killed.
Tocqueville says as much, that in a democracy, everything is open to questions, so a few fundamental articles of faith must be widely accepted as true, so as to narrow down the focus of skepticism to the remaining issues.
So, innocent folks getting killed by a scumbag is cleaning up society? really?
And BTW, I am not, never been, never will be in favor of restricting the 2nd Amendment and the NFA is about as dumb a thing ever written.
