What is the statistic, one in three lottery winners is bankrupt in five years? My guess, whatever we pay will not be enough and it will all disappear into a FTX-esque black hole of luxury goods and extravagance in less time than it takes to print the checks.
That brings up questions of what happens if people paid reparations, spend it foolishly. And then such people are back in poverty again.
Regardless of racial issues, just giving someone a huge sum of money, if such people don’t know how to handle money properly,does not benefit them long-term.
