New Yorker who sat on the jury that found two Trump Organization companies guilty of criminal tax fraud has revealed how the panel referred to the former president as “Joe Smith” during deliberations.

The jurors disagreed that Weisselberg's actions were 'on behalf of himself' even though Weisselberg and McConney said that was the truth of the matter. Although the juror says that they tried to separate Trump from the case, it was brought up in the jury room that Trump had made a comment to Hillary during the 2016 debates that he paid as little taxes as possible. The juror also commented to the Beast that 'you can't take Trump to court and lose.." Because they couldn't hide their bias, the jury decided Weisselberg's actions just had to be 'on behalf of his employer'. The jury verdict appears more a personal vendetta against Trump that an objective decision.

Sounds like the entire case should be easy to overturn on appeal. If there is any justice to be had for anything carrying the name Trump.

Democrats control every institution that matters in 2022 America.

The problem with “Government is the problem, not the solution” mentality: is that our political enemies have a huge advantages over us in government bureaucracies.

So as a private sector guy who has never worked in the public sector, let me give a “shout out” to members of Free Republic who have employment in the public sector.

“I salute you” & don’t know how you keep your sanity.

“I constantly fought my knee-jerk belief that of course anything with the name Trump on it is crooked,”

Should have been eliminated from the jury in pre-trial by the judge. Obvious bias makes it impossible to be impartial.

It's impossible for any Trump to get an impartial jury in any big city run by democrats. Absolutely impossible.

Doesn’t everyone try to pay the least amount of taxes as possible? That doesn’t mean you’re not paying your fair share. Stupid jurors. Wouldn’t want them on a murder jury.

This is ‘boob bait’ for progressive morons who think Trump needs to pay for their made up “crimes” against him.

Its a laughable joke.

Trump is a former President of United States, which means he’s untouchable.(No President in USA history has been indicted, arrested, imprisoned, etc.)

Garland is “slow walking” Trump issues with his special council appointment of some bum that fell off his bike in Europa.

.
Nothing will be done about it.

They submitted numerous fraudulent Docs to get FISA on Trump’s family and businesses, and nothing at all was done.

Republicans want Trump to go down.

MAGA is the New Tea Party - must be dismantled.

I have neighbors who moved here from Long Island 10 years ago and they despise Trump. They are liberal New Yorkers, but it’s not his politics it’s just him. They don’t like him. They would fit right in with this jury pool. They would have voted to convict because it was Trump related, not because anybody was guilty.

I was one for several years — about eight of them in HR, no less. Easy to stay sane if you’re grounded in your beliefs. Actually, at times it was amusing.

Being in a government HR staff meeting provided limitless fodder for jokes later on. I always took a copy of my “Wonk Word Bingo” game with me to see how long it would take to bingo.

The man has been investigated like no human has ever been investigated and…nothing. They even manufactured crimes and it didn’t work.

Then this moron says, “of course anything with the name Trump on it is crooked.”

Really?

“Any one may so arrange his affairs that his taxes shall be as low as possible; he is not bound to choose that pattern which will best pay the Treasury; there is not even a patriotic duty to increase one’s taxes.”

Judge Learned Hand, Helvering v. Gregory, 69 F.2d 809, 810-11 (2d Cir. 1934).
