They’re saying that the Bakhmut (Artemivsk) casualties on the Ulrainian side are closer to 1 to 1 (KIA to wounded) than the normal 1 to 3, because the lack of timely medical care.

I mentioned on the FR boards yesterday in a thread I can’t be bothered to look up that the ratios were anywhere from 6:1 to 10:1 and then I read Larry’s article this morning my time and he went with the higher number of 10:1.
All I can say is that given the many, many social sites, etc. that I visit multiple times a day, I have seen pictures and short vids of Ukrainian bodies piled up, literally, like logs in 48’ trailers, on the ground, etc.
Not good at all for those getting caught up in the Russian meat grinder, for sure.
Then there are the reports from people like the commander of MOZART Group saying that the men Ukraine is sending into the Russian meat grinder are men that have never fired a weapon before, not trained, etc.

Someone ( Ukrainian channel I think) wrote about the “ golden hour” which is when a seriously wounded soldier must be treated, or the risk of mortality skyrockets. Just view the videos of those guys in trenches filled with a foot of water ( before the freeze set in), enduring nearly endless shelling ( no the Russians are not running out of shells, they fire daily almost a year’s US production of M-155 shells, 20K, according to one analyst)

The videos coming out of Artemovsk ( thanks to drones) show a horizon of flame on the Uke lines, that look like hell on earth.
Now try to imagine the wounded being evacuated.
Some are making it though, all the way to Kiev which reportedly has stopped hospital admissions of civilians to care for wounded troops
Not to mention medical vehicles provided by the West being used as ammo resupply carriers because, General “ hold at any cost Zelensky
You wonder why the Russians are moving slowly? A major goal of the SMO is demilitarization. Kill as many non-surrendering Uke troops as it takes to break the will of the Army, or its leadership. So the Russians are taking out the equivalent a BN every day or 2, just in this AO.
But the Ukes keep coming…just sent fresh meat. They have up to 25K troops in the battle, according to Military Summary channel ( a very detailed daily report on youtube and rumble) …but estimate within weeks or a month, all will be operationally encircled, no retreat
