Russians provided Houthis with anti-ship missiles which were fired at U.S. warships in the Red Sea, unsuccessfully. The rebels were probably assisted by Russian personnel when they fired them. When the U.S. complained, the Russians said that when they supply a weapon system they are not responsible for how it is used. The U.S. has cited that precedent when the Russians complain about U.S. weapons in Ukraine. The U.S. has supplied no weapons which have attacked Russia, only defensive weapons, such as the Patriot, that are only a threat to Russians who invade Ukraine.
Bad move.
“when does an American citizen get the right to obtain and operate a missile battery”
They don’t.
I don’t think thats what the 2nd Amendment was intended for.
If you want to shoot some people coming across the border, go for it. But expect to spend some time in jail.
Bad move.
Who is going to operate the Patriot Missile System?
= = =
Patriots?
By whose defn?
We can do a Putin, and free the J6 Patriots to send them to Ukraine to fight.
“Then what, send our Army???”
Our army isn’t needed. Ukraine needs weapons, not men.
Why? Ukrainians don't need more soldiers, they need weapons.
Great minds think alike.
These demonic possessed Democrats are begging Putin to start a Nuclear War.
Open borders for Ukraine. No one is illegal !
US didn’t use nuclear weapons when the USSR sent weapons to Vietnam and Korea.
Not only weapons, but Soviet pilots flew warplanes against Americans.
Russia should send hypersonic missiles to cuba
Could hit DC in 5 minutes!
“The (US) Air Force last week successfully tested a hypersonic AGM-183A missile off the coast of southern California — striking a target after reaching more than five times the speed of sound”
“Why should I have to wait for that...”
Well, there are only so many Patriot missiles to go around, we have to prioritize.
“who are you to grant permission?”
A taxpayer.
“Last I checked it’s in some pieces of paper currently enshrined in Philadelphia where they were drafted.”
Hey, if you want to build your own air defense missile system, nobody is stopping you. But you decided to beg the US government for one instead, so...
“I don’t think thats what the 2nd Amendment was intended for”
Then we disagree fundamentally.
You can be assured that my Patriot ancestors in the Carolinas were not fighting for Monarchy 2.0. The guns they used came from the mantle over the fireplace and were no different from the ones the other guys were using.
As for shooting people coming over the border, you will note that a Patriot missile is a special class of anti-missile missiles, mainly for theater defense. Wouldn’t be particular useful against Sinaloa mafia guys unless they have their own Surface to Surface missiles.
During my first two years, I was the Army Liasion Officer in the Wing CP at Hahn Air Base. During AF alerts, I’d be there for the duration, usually 4 days straight, at the request of the Wing Commander. During my first alert, I offered the correct recommendation on an NBC input, after his “expert” made the wrong call, he went overboard on his recommendation, probably intimidated by the 5 full bird colonels surrounding him.
From that point on, I was the first one called when an NBC input was dropped. Much more comfortable than being outside in the elements.
“Well, there are only so many Patriot missiles to go around, we have to prioritize”
Hah. That’s funny. I claim priority over Slavic gangsters and Khazarian gunmen.
“A taxpayer”
Just like me man. Therefore I hereby grant me the privilege.
“Hey, if you want to build your own air defense missile system, nobody is stopping you”
Actually that’s not true. You will face a thicket of barriers starting with Munitions Manufacturer licenses (includes intended customers), ITAR barriers, classification review, etc. For people who are capable of designing and manufacturing high accuracy air defense guidance systems and high acceleration propulsion systems to get them to their intended targets, there may be no technical limits but there are certainly a multitude of legal barriers. You can be assured that the current “administration” would be rather rabid about that.
That heifer down in Gawgia!? That’s against the Hague & Geneva conventions, pretty sure.
Too bad they didn’t hang her sorry ass in 1972
