People need to get on board with the idea that no one should work in government for more than 10 to 12 years. Government is not a place to become wealthy. Government is not the place for a retirement plan. Do those things on your own and in the private sector.

Agree. Term limits, and you get what the job pays. No side deals re you/families.

You give up running any outside businesses you are involved in or other forms of income.

You are audited every year by an outside firm, not the IRS where politics are played.

Good additions. Here’s another: only one person may be employed in government from the same family … down to 2rd cousins. These rules need to apply to all levels of government, concurrently. Yes another: same nepotism rules apply to any company, education institution or organization that receives government payments, funding, grants, loans, etc.

The idea is simple. Starve to government of employees. That stifles government’s ability to spend money, regulate and to be used as a weapon against working Americans.
