its laughable to think that the ammo they’d stockpiled for decades during the cold war has just up and disappeared. I’d be very surprised if they have less than a trillion rounds of 7.62x39 sitting around their largest-landmass in the world country.
This stuff, if properly stored, will last a hundred years, even with corrosive primers.

Apparently, some are clueless as to the sheer amount of munitions the Ukrainians have gone through that it has pretty much depleted US/UK/NATO/EU/Western storage/supplies of such.

You do know the Russian standard issue AK-74M (and all variations after) uses 5.45x39mm ammunition?
