Richard “The People’s Pundit” Baris recently shared an interesting picture during his podcast—Inside The Numbers (Episode 307)—and in his Locals.com community. The photograph was one he took while inside the Maricopa County Tabulation and Election Center (MCTEC) soon after the recent Arizona midterm election. It showed a “Heat Map” reportedly hung on the wall inside the vote counting center titled:
General Election 2020 In-Person Republican Vote Dot Density Election Day and Early Vote Sites | Metropolitan Maricopa, Arizona

> Was there a map showing the Democrats?
Actually there is partial view of an adjacent map that suggests it might be a similar map for Democrats, e.g. “White Tank” on the left side, blue color in areas which are white on the “Republican” map, etc.
> an adjacent map that suggests it might be a similar map for Democrats
oops, I’m wrong; the article has addressed this differently:
Baris noted he did not personally observe a comparable map showing expected turnout from Democrats, Independent, or 3rd party voters anywhere else in the facility—the blue shaded map partially pictured to the right were locations of early vote drop-off/vote drop boxes as he recalls.
It is a density map of a very specific population, as stated on the title of the map:
"General Election 2020 In-Person Republican Voter Dot Density
Election Day and Early-Vote Sites | Metropolitan Maricopa County, Arizona"
Republican was bolded in the original! Had they been preparing general estimates for the numbers of expected voters, so as to allocate enough blank ballots and other resources, they'd have been working off a density map of all voters then, not just GOP ones.
This kind of a map may be appropriate in Republicans' or Democrats' headquarters to plan partisan strategy, but doesn't belong in the headquarters of the supposedly neutral vote counters any more than a "Vote Lake" or a "Vote Hobbs" sign belongs at the polling places.
You know EXACTLY what the Democrats would do — sue Gates a million ways to Sunday and bankrupt his worthless azz.
One key factoid on which I’ve so far seen no comment is that a specific judge has been assigned to Lake’s case. Is anything known about that judge??? Were Hobbs et al able to guide the case to someone like the judge that refused to extend voting hours or did Kari draw an honest and fair judge who’ll give her a chance? I’d fear and expect the former, but in a county as large as Maricopa it’s unlikely all the judges are compromised and if the pick were random a good judge is possible.
Well, you have to ask who it was that elected the repubs.
Posted on a WHITEBOARD! what is a whiteboard used for? PLANNING that’s what.
Wouldn’t matter if there was. No reason to have either one.
