Sorry Ann, the only NAIVE one here is you, because you bought into a load of garbage about the great and powerful OZ, and even now, after he’s gone down in flames after being given every possible advantage a Republican could have been given in PA, still refuse to accept reality.
If all you have is “hey, at least I’m not the other guy” then you have nothing and that’s the only argument you have offered.
You can whine about how that should be enough, but it isn’t and will never be... because if your sides candidate is so bad that all you got is “hey at least he’s not the other guy” then the counter argument being made by the other side, “Hey at least our guy isn’t the other guy” is just as easily made.. and once that’s the only argument being offered, you are done.
In a state where the other party only needs to pick up 4%+1 vote from their registered base to win, and you need to pick up 11% +1 vote to win... if and that’s the reality of the PA electorate... If that’s all you got as a republican you are goin to LOSE EVERY SINGLE TIME.
That’s the math Ann, you don’t have to like it but that’s the reality. You argument of “at least he’s not the other guy” is just preaching to the converted.. you aren’t going to win more than 66% of the independent votes with that argument EVER... and that’s what you need to do in PA to win.. you aren’t going to peel off major numbers of the democrat voters with that argument, ever.
The only naive people here are the ones like yourself you refused to accept reality during the campaign because the actual truth wasn’t what you wanted to hear, and listened empty headed parrots and fools like Hannity et al telling you how great and electable an empty suited off brand fraud of a crap candidate was.

This is true on the flip side, if D’s run a crap candidate down in Alabama, or Arkansas, and the R candidate is poor, and the D just attacks with at least I’m not the R.. do you think that D’s going to win? Nope...

OZ was at best an R candidate 20 years out of time, Bush era might have gotten away with it... The world has changed... OZ was dead man walking from the start.
