Would he have second thoughts on the operating table when the unwilling and unskilled surgeon comes into the room, has the nurse bring over his phone and he says "Siri, how do you do a sex change?"
So you are fine with forcing non-Christians who believe in reality to perform these surgeries?
“Sex change” drug treatments and surgeries must be BANNED!!!!
So-called “transsexuals” need mental health treatment, spiritual counseling, and in some cases exorcism—NOT these evil “sex change” treatments!!!!
He is just forcing the christian doctors out of the profession with this crap.
I’ll be cautiously optimistic that all nine SCOTUS justices have enough sense and decency to affirm this on appeal. The worst case scenario is a 5/4 split affirming it. But you never know. Strange things are happening.
This should have been a nationalized campaign issue, but was not.
Things like this would go 7-2 with Ginsburg and Sotomayor dissenting. It will probably remain this way with the dissenters now being Sotomayor and Jackson...though the latter has not yet ruled on religious liberty matters to know for sure yet.
The Republicans should address this issue loudly.
They want all doctors to be Mengeles.
Every trans person I have known has deep psychological issues with regards to their bodies. The ones I know best all had suffered abuse in their lives, relationship instability, difficulty belonging, etc. It’s like changing name and gender is a way for them to “kill” the person who was abused, written off as worthless, etc. That’s not the answer.
I often notice a gay man who chooses to be celibate or to practice heterosexuality is stigmatized as self-hating and oppressed but a transgender is supported in their fluid fantasy. It’s sad. We’re always seeing more transgender regret stories. It’s not treated like health care. It’s “civil rights” and no one is trying to get sued.
A society based on prostitution and murder is fit for nothing but to be burned.
Or a Muslim doctor; I’m pretty certain this nonsense goes against their faith as well.
