“For Americans who believe in strong and secure national borders, the primacy of national sovereignty, and the right to self-defense, support for Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression is natural.”
That sentence right there is downright hilarious.
Why don’t they defend our own borders? This sound like democrat “fact checkers”, which is just another way of making denials of points of debate and claiming it to be “facts” in efforts to shut down debate. They’ll “fact check” and claim “there is no evidence” in the face of evidence, and I call that gas lighting.
The numbers of tanks, APC's, artillery, etc. claimed as reserve sticks could not possibly have been properly maintained by the number of troops they have, especially given the virtually non-existent numbers of actual drilling reservists.
Absolute hogwash….true yellow journalism.
Just change Ukraine to Iraq or Afghanistan….and read again!
Myth 11. Ukrainians are the good guys.
Saying so does not make it so. We are supposed to believe the grafters and grifters are not absent from this boondoggle? Pure as the first mountain snow. And our leaders have really made a public case for wanton spending run amuck?
This admin has done nothing to make the case and probably cannot. Pedo Joe or Mayorkas? Crooks and deceiver pied pipers.
Personally some assistance might be warranted. Nothing of the present magnitude. Depleting our own stocks of war supplies. Of course the puzzled pentagon is totally corrupt and an unreliable dishonest info source.
So there we are folks. Continuing to fork over your grandkids financial future at the behest of known liars without a whimper.
Under your hero Biden we have been invaded by 5 million illegal aliens in just under two years and you attempt to lecture us about Americans who believe in borders but only for the Ukraine? GFY.
You are just another neocon, refugee noob from DU. Go home nutjob.
You've got it backwards. Ukraine is Russia's Iraq or Afghanistan, except far more bloodthirsty/costly. Those are Russian troops and Russian formations bleeding out in Ukraine, not American. And their cost is far higher than what we're paying to oppose them.
Send the military aid to Florida...
They can sell it and use the cash for Americans
#2: The US and Europe paying for the war and supplying weapons and equipment while Ukraine fights is working. The Russian army is getting ground down at relatively low cost and risk to the US. Russia simply can not replace its losses in equipment and experienced personnel like Ukraine can. Going all out is not needed and hopefully can be avoided.
“Russia’s stocks of operational weapons reserves were vastly overrated”
Just because you believe everything you are told by “Fox and Friends” doesn’t make it true. Soon, refugees will be flooding Europe from the US backed former state of Ukraine.
There, they can all think about who staged the coup in Maidan. They can think about who interfered with Minsk II and they can think about who it was that destroyed the gas pipelines.
And they can think about who has been sitting on the opposite side of the planet, slouched over on their sofas, watching “Fox and Friends” cheering on another war that benefits no one.
Perhaps you've mistaken the sight of a recipe for proof it was followed?
As for evidence the "oversight" provisions were not followed:
-Purchase of vacation homes and luxury cars by senior Ukraine officials.
-Sale of arms to rogue nations.
Thanks for posting.
Chin, your arrival was predicted by Fairhairedboy. Neocon wars are your other passion when you’re not pushing for the Covid clot-shot.
I know that we've all grown up with an unconstitutionally big, post-FDR era federal government and have consequently been indoctrinated to think that everything that the feds do must somehow be constitutional.
But not not only is the term "foreign aid" not found in the amendable Constitution (aiding the enemy is referenced), Justice Joseph Story had clarified that foreign aid is constitutionally undefensible.
“If the tax be not proposed for the common defence, or general welfare, but for other objects, wholly extraneous, (as for instance, for propagating Mahometanism among the Turks, or giving aids and subsidies to a foreign nation, to build palaces for its kings, or erect monuments to its heroes,) it would be wholly indefensible upon constitutional principles [emphases added].” — Justice Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution 2 (1833).
"From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]." —United States v. Butler, 1936.
So the myth that foreign aid is constitutional should arguably have been at the top of the provided list imo.
Oh, and for the record, Florida has gotten 1.5 billion. Estimated damage is between 35 to 50 billion... but that’s ok.... the world capital of human trafficking and money laundering needs our money more than we do
How much of this was fed to your media source via the Biden Staff or the DOJ? It sure sounds like you and Biden agree. It sure will be tough for you neo’s to live this down. Some of US will not allow you to just throw up your hands and walk away. You’ve been Brandoned.
Give him credit. He didn’t use any of the très chic liberal terms “democracy,” “disenfranchised,” or “election denier” in this writing.
