Work crews have steadily erected hundreds of double-stacked shipping containers topped by razor wire along Arizona’s remote eastern boundary with Mexico in a bold show of border enforcement by Republican Gov. Doug Ducey even as he prepares to leave office.
Until protesters slowed, then largely halted the work in recent days, Ducey pressed forward over the objections of the U.S. government, environmentalists and an incoming governor who has called it a poor use of resources.

Could've done this in coordination with the Trump administration (after McCain was dead)
Could've done this after he was safely reelected in 2018 (with McCain by then dead)
But no, he does it NOW. When he's leaving. When he helped to prevent a conservative successor who wouldn't tear down such barriers.
Typical RINO pantywaist.
He better run for senate in 2024. We need that seat. We need to start choosing winners!
Yeah, because cutting through relatively-thin metal is nearly impossible.
Hell, once you are in, you have a nice temporary camping spot, too.
If Ducey is “a winner” then he would have run this year against Kelly. The window on his opportunity is closing.

/\
It’s a try anyway.
Without mine fields and claymores it’s probably futile.
Put a service window on the USA side and a cargo door on the Mexican side and you have a nice little fentanyl to go shop.
Cut some doors on the sides into the adjacent containers and you’ve got a nice brothel/ rape room and a fentanyl warehouse in the other side container.
Yup
Needs landmines.
They will be a entire new 2 story town on the border.
“Environmentalists”
This is silly. Environmentalists logically speaking, should be one the strongest voices and advocates for a secure border.
10 or 20 or 30 or 40 million extra people - in this case illegal migrants and foreign nationslals - means tremendous and outsized demand for housing, timber, oil, water, roads, garbage and hazardous waste generation, increased need for electrical power generation, more schools, roadways, paving over of agricultural lands and so on and so forth.
Not a frickin’ peep outta those guys.
He better hurry because his replacement wont continue the work.
THAT is the real truth!
For decades now the idiot Republicants let the Left get away with pretending to be Environmentalists while fomenting mass invasion.
This after they spent the 1970s and 80s screaming about “Overpopulation” and blocking any development.
ABSOLUTE HIPOCRISY that they continue to get away with.
Stack em 3 stories high and fill em with cement
The whole border wall would, have cost something like $25 billion to build. Sounds like a lot, until you discover that illegals cost our country nearly a trillion dollars every year when all the costs and incidental costs are estimated.
Kick out illegals here already might cost several billion dollars or so, so for a one time cost of around $50 billion, we coild,be saving approx $950 billion every single year
Pretty sound investment if you ask me
Trump’s border wall system was researched, developed and (partially) implemented. It is very effective everywhere it exists.
Just keep doing that.
The Sierra Club was famously against illegal migration, for the reasons previously described. Their bigtime $$ donors made it clear this was unacceptable, and they don’t talk about such things any longer.
They were also very big proponents of nuclear power, as a solution to meeting energy needs. In the 1960s the government was on a dam building kick, Glen Canyon, especially the Colorado. There was even talk for a while about damming Grand Canyon. They don’t talk about that any longer either.
Cesar Chavez was an hispanic labor leader for United Farm Workers in the 1960s. Also famous for being an advocate for a truly “secure border”. As a genuine union guy he knew millions of people pouring across the border would only serve to depress wages for working families. Can a guy named Chavez be racist against Chicanos?
Wages have been stagnant since the 1950s, without adjusting for monetary inflation. It’s a mystery how that might happen.
Now compare and contrast statements by Dick Trumpka - he was AFL-CIO head, and basically said illegal aliens are totally cool as far as he was concerned.
Yeah, I lived all that.
Murray Gelbaum was the a&&wipe who bribed the Sierra Club with $100M to stop talking about illegal immigration. Lives in Newport Beach with his Mexican puta, the only woman the seedy little nebbish could bribe into screwing him. Made all his money being one of PIMCO’s first quants.
Real environmentalist. Lives in Baja Los Angeles. Whatta laff.
They’re just watermelons. The “environment” is a concept for them, something to oppose The Establishment over.
Thanks ever so much.
See Post 16.
Was also a generous supporter of the ACLU. Sounds about right.
What a laugh that is. Looks like they prefer this:
