But will she “caucus” with the Republicans to make the Senate 50-50?

In my opinion, not a chance. But, I’m no prophet, nor the son of a prophet.

Serious question anyone can answer: Why does an independent have to caucus with any party?

But will she “caucus” with the Republicans to make the Senate 50-50? Question answered in the article:
The first-term senator argued in an op-ed published Friday by the Arizona Republic as well as several interviews that she has “never really fit into a box of any political party” — and she vowed not to caucus with Senate Republicans.

The first-term senator argued in an op-ed published Friday by the Arizona Republic as well as several interviews that she has “never really fit into a box of any political party” — and she vowed not to caucus with Senate Republicans. So she makes this "bold" move when it doesn't make any difference. The Democrats are in control even if she leaves their caucus. 50-49-1. Even if she did caucus with the GOP then it would be 51-50 with Harris.
Really brave, Kyrsten.
