Sorry to be picky but I loved Pontiacs.
As much as I like my 64, I always had a soft spot for the big old Pontiacs. My dad got rid of his 62 Catalina when the trans crapped out. It was just a used car at the time and those old HydraMatics were prone to overheat. He sold it to our mechanic who replaced the trans and sold it to the body shop next door. A few yrs later I spotted it at a local car show, nicely restored. It was used in a couple of street scenes in the movie The Wanderers, which was mainly filmed in daBronx.
