Questions must be answered on ex-Twitter lawyer James Baker’s role in censorship scandals
NY Post ^ | December 7, 2022 | Miranda Devine

Let’s award 3.14159 stars to Elon Musk for firing Twitter’s lawyer, James Baker, Tuesday.

But there are still a lot of questions that need to be answered about the role of Baker, the FBI’s former Russiagate protagonist, in — not one, but two — censorship scandals.

First, having been parachuted into Twitter conveniently five months before the 2020 election as deputy general counsel and vice president, Baker played an instrumental role in the censorship of The Post’s Hunter Biden laptop story in October 2020.

Second, Baker was involved in the potential suppression of material that Musk ordered released from Twitter’s files last Friday to reveal who was involved in killing The Post’s story and thus preventing derogatory material about candidate Joe Biden from being disseminated widely. The “most important data was hidden [and] may have been deleted,” Musk says.

When Musk asked Baker what he was up to, “his explanation was . . . unconvincing.”

Musk claims he realized only Sunday that Baker had intervened to suppress “information important to the public dialogue.”

But it was obvious Friday that someone had excised mention of the FBI from the “Twitter Files,” and it wasn’t hard to guess who, once you realized Twitter’s lawyer was Baker, who had been the FBI’s top lawyer involved in every one of the bureau’s Russia-collusion plots against Donald Trump. It’s hard not to see his role as a gatekeeper planted at Twitter to ensure information helpful to Trump’s re-election never saw the light of day.

Jack Dorsey, the genius inventor of Twitter, posed a question Wednesday that cut to the heart of Musk’s halting efforts to expose the truth.

“Must be answered” Yeah, you tell ‘em!

Take your pick: FBI covers for him; he says “I can’t recall” 236 times in a deposition, he is a no-show for a Congressional subpoena, Dems derail any investigation.

There are maybe TWO Americans who could get to the bottom of it and have the resources to pursue it: Trump and Musk.

I like pi, but would be happier with prosecutions.

Maybe Grassley and Ernst can write a strongly worded letter to get to the bottom of if.

I saw earlier, an exchange between Musk and Dorsey, where Dorsey said to just dump everything and let folks do what they want with it. Musk responded that stuff may have been deleted.

I know there are IT folks on here, I thought damn near everything was recoverable. If all of that is true, I find it interesting that a company lawyer could do all of that, without some help. Be interesting to see who he got help from.

And if Baker was responsible, there is perhaps some validation about an article written on Conservative Treehouse about how DHS and the feds have a great deal of control over Twitter. Almost, total control.

“If the goal is transparency to build trust,” tweeted Dorsey, who still owns a small stake in the social-media company and quit as CEO last year, “why not just release everything without filter and let people judge for themselves? Including all discussions around current and future actions? Make everything public now.”

“Make everything public now.”

The problem is that ‘everything’ is not immediately available right now.

And Dorsey knows that.

No one is allowed to question Baker.

He’s the FBI’s attorney. Therefore omnipotent and untouchable.

You see, the American Revolution was staged to erect an all encompassing superstate with absolutely no accountability to the population who would be viewed as their chattel slaves.

Yup, that’s what they were fighting for.

Just Wray, Comey, Mueller, Weissman, Baker, Strozk, Yates etc etc etc.

Even though none of their ancestors were in that fight, they know what it was really all about: them becoming all powerful.

Baker went to a very woke private business. He wasn’t in the government anymore. He figured he could get away with putting his thumb on the scale.

Did James Baker single-handedly BAN President Trump from Twitter?

Yes. They can get you “six ways from Sunday” as was proven in the 2020 election and all the ensuing (and on-going) J6 crap.

Those bastards use OUR money to destroy the USA and stop any efforts to unmask them.

NIIIIICE own goal Jack, hey man nice one, yup that starvation nation thing is really working for you, eat all them billions and maybe lawyer up Unadumber.

"Jack Dorsey, the genius inventor of Twitter, posed a question Wednesday that cut to the heart of Musk’s halting efforts to expose the truth.

“If the goal is transparency to build trust,” tweeted Dorsey, who still owns a small stake in the social-media company and quit as CEO last year, “why not just release everything without filter and let people judge for themselves? Including all discussions around current and future actions? Make everything public now.”

Musk, who paid $44 billion for Twitter in October, leading wags to say he bought a “crime scene, not a company,” replied to his predecessor eight hours later.

Most important data was hidden (from you too) and some may have been deleted, but everything we find will be released.”

Then tie him to a chair and reenact the Marathon Man drilling scene on him if he won’t rat out the Govt. actors that directly ordered him to censor/destroy/delete anti-Dem narrative tweets

He wasn’t in the government anymore.

There's no proof of that statement. Fact is we don't what was going on with this seditious clown. A quick scan of his financials might help.

What I meant to say was that he wants the info that’s available now to be put out because this release wouldn’t contain ALL the incriminating info that might come out in the future. In other words, he’s hoping to minimize the fallout to himself.

Make no mistake, Dorsey knew what was going on and was enabling, if not encouraging it.
