On a side note, what is a six-year-old girl doing playing on an ice hockey team? Seems rather extreme for one so young. The family is Canadian. Her mother may have given birth to her on an ice rink.

Some children in Canada skate before they walk. Skating at 3 is common.
I would say that girld should play Ringette instead of hockey, but Ringette has fallen out of fashion.
