That is exactly why so many former Soviet states are backing Ukraine. Estonia has given 1/3 its defense budget to Ukraine. They know if Ukraine falls, in time Russia will try to take over the Baltic states.

There is less of a issue of a dictator taking over, as a Moscow approved puppet leader. This is what Russia wanted with Yanukovych.

More Kremlin Propoganda. Ukraine isn't going after Christians or the Ukranian Orthodox Church. It is going after KGB agents who are betraying Ukraine and thus the status of the Ukranian Orthodox Church as Ukranian.

Kremlinchick Carlson has fogotten about US actions during the Civil War, World War 1, and World War 2. We also sought to preven the Soviet Union from controlling the Orthodox Church in America.

Yes, it does, and it is hard to understand unless one is an insider, as you say.

The different nationalities (and their choirs) are part of my interest in Orthodoxy, but my real interest is the faith itself.

As far as Zelensky banning the UOC, it was an evil and stupid move as most of the Ukrainians are UOC, not OCU. It is a split that did not have to happen and should not have happened. But, evil is abroad everywhere and gaining.

Tucker has fallen for more pro-Putin propaganda. The Russian Orthodox Church has always den under KGB control and esp. W
With Archbishop with a name such as Kirilenko or something like that over the past 50 years. Headed the pro-Soviet church delegation to the KGB/CPSU religious “peace fronts” of their front, the World Peace Council.

Good photos in the WPC newsletters and special small booklets in the 70s and 80s.

Tucker fell under the spell of Prof. Stephen D? Cohen, a hardcore pro-Soviet disinformation operative and influencer of John Batchelor. Married to far-left MARXIST sympathizer Katrina Van den Heuvel of The Nation magazine, a decades long publication led/dominated by known CPUSA members such as Carey McWilliams and key communist cover up
/disinformation & smear writer Victor Navasky.

Sorry that Tucker didn’t do his homework this time. Makes Chinook like a shoddy journalist.

However, there is a troubling pattern emerging in the Ukraine with media and other entities that question Zelensky.

Well, you know, the country is at war against an invader determined to annex it and snuff out its entire existence and history, so peacetime niceties tend to fly out the window.

Case in point: Roosevelt and Churchill's actions during World War II. Heck, FDR broke up strikes and had heads of corporations arrested for opposing him and his war administration and policies. Truman did the same.

That’s why I said in 2014 the US set up the puppet regime, as opposed to a single person.

Another lie. The U.S. did no such thing.

Breaking right: Putin drunk as a skunk on Russian TV today. Not a joke.

I saw that. Watching Comrade Putin lose self-control in public like that for the first time ever.

I saw Assad pay a visit to a Catholic church on Christmas, I feel good on the call that replacing him isn’t worth the risk for Christians. We all saw what happened to Christians in Iraq after Hussein was taken out. I haven’t read up on Libya lately, but I’d bet same thing. I’d call it all a mistake, but I’m starting to presume the elimination of Christianity by western leaders is the goal.

I agree with your stand that Russia is the badder guy. But like many, I’m not thrilled with the idolizing of Zelenskyy, many of the decadent things he stands for, and what he is likely to do in the future, including keeping Ukraine’s hand out towards our taxpayers in perpetuity. The U.S. doesn’t typically occupy lands it has entered militarily; but I agree with Trump’s position on the past Middle East involvements: we should get something in return for pouring money into the Ukraine proxy. A guarantee of X amount of crops, fertizlizer, minerals—something. Biden and the Democrats’ attitude towards Ukraine is indulgent and nurturing rather than dominative and disciplining.

A victorious Ukraine as a reliable and effective ally against Russia would be of tremendous value by blocking Russian thuggery and expansionism. And that value compounds if Ukraine buys American goods and weapons and uses the dollar as their trade and reserve currency -- as they are almost certainly required to do in various secret collateral agreements with the US. The point of keeping those agreements secret is to prevent Zelensky and Ukraine from being portrayed as sellouts and American hirelings.
