OFGS! Quit with the hyperbole. He is not outlawing Orthodox Christianity, he is closing down ONE of its many branches; specifically, the RUSSIAN Orthodox Church, which is basically an arm of the Russian government. Ukraine is at war with Russia, after all.
the issue is not about “freedom of religion”, Ukrainians can believe what they wish, the operations of religious institutions is a different manner, and the Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine - the institution - has proven to be a divisive stooge of Putin, and worse
Orthodox Christians in Ukraine still have Orthodox Churches they can take their faith practice to, and they know it even if you don’t.
