Did these people really think that ‘beyond meat’ would actually catch on despite all the millions dumped into marketing it, Lefties, Vegans, etc., etc. buying into it?
Really?!
Wait till they shove bug meat and bugs in general onto the market like ‘beyond meat’....yeah, maybe that will catch on too.
Not.

By definition bugs are not vegan. So the vegans won’t be eating bugs either.
I know vegans, and they spend a lot of time prepping meals. I also tried the Beyond Meat™️ burger at Burger King™️ and it was really no big deal. They slather so many other things on the burger you can’t really even taste the “textured vegetable protein” contained therein, but the texture definitely has that ersatz quality.
(Its stock has slumped nearly 83% in the past year)
Their product is failing miserably.
I never wanted to even try it.

Think of it this way: Why would someone like Pence run for president against Trump? There ain’t no way he’s going to defeat Trump, nor will anyone else, not even close.
Answer: If Trump is in jail, then the nomination fight is wide open. They run hoping that Trump will not or cannot run.
These companies are positioning themselves for the day when middle-class Americans can no longer afford meat (if ‘they’ even allow it to still be available) - and based on what Europe is doing, that will only be a few years.
Their mistake may have been that they actually believed people preferred their product, based on the instant hype and didn’t stick to their long-term plan, and now they have to get back to it.
They may just sneak insects and lab created food into your food supply without telling anyone except the chosen. It will eventually be discovered by project Veritas or revealed by a whistleblower but by that time, the sheep will say “gee we’ve been eating bugs for a long time and didn’t even notice it. They really are safe and tasty. Thanks Bill Gates”.
