There is/was a professor (of ethics?) at Princeton that made a similar statement. Although I think it was until the age of a typical baby being weened from the mother - 18 months perhaps?
And it wasn’t just some comment, he did studies and papers and stuff promoting it!

The man you are thinking of is Peter Singer and he’s a complete utilitarian charmer. Quadriplegia would improve him, maybe.
There are many,many,*many* Germans,Austrians (and others) who deserved to be hanged or shot for war crimes and crimes against humanity. But I'm not convinced that *this* child is one of them.
Just about EVERY kid was in the Hitler youth or whatever it was called. I was just reading the story of a black German youth who joined. He said at the time it was like joining the boy scouts, everyone was expected to join or you would be left out and possibly shunned. These kids had no idea what Hitler was up to.
And her crime as a conscripted minor under age 21 is what?
They might as well start hunting down every person who fought for Germany and prosecute them as well.
Using the same criteria, every single soldier present during the My Lai massacre in Vietnam should have faced the same tribunal as Irmgard Furchner and her predecessors.......
In the film “Downfall” (”Untergang”) there's a great scene in which Berlin was within days (hours?) of being completely vanquished by the Russians.As furious fighting went on you see a group of German kids manning a big gun while an older man,missing an arm (in the war IIRC), was telling them to go home and save themselves. They refused,insisting that they must continue to fight for the Fuehrer. They were completely brainwashed!

How about accessory to mass murder for a start. “All I did was drive the car. I didn’t know he was going to kill somebody!” Doesn’t wash in either case.

In times of war, every participant is tasked with following orders or else.

Millions of people would’ve willingly participated in the extermination and elimination of the unvaccinated just a year or two ago. And now they are passing judgement on this woman who may (or may not) have played a tiny role in her stenographer job for the Nazis 80 years ago.
They’ve run out of real war criminals to prosecute. They’re scraping the bottom of the barrel now.
Took some college classes and there have been numerous studies that show most people will participate in hurting of others when directed by authority figures. Pray that you’re never put in that position because you may think you wouldn’t participate but odds are you would.

Seems a bit unjust doesn’t it?
I can’t wait. It’s an industry that has outlived it’s usefulness.
