They can both go bankrupt for all I care. Walgreens never has anything I’m looking for and CVS took over Longs Drugs. Longs was a great drug store, had 22LR ammo and HO train kits. Hard to beat.

My grandfather was a druggist (yes, we called them that) back in the good ol' days. His small-town drugstore was straight out of It's A Wonderful Life and remained in business for 60 years or more. No computers, no complicated insurance regulations, but a real life soda fountain and lots of customer service, as Grandad would know everyone by name and often deliver medicines to their homes. Then the big corporations took over. Sigh.

I know what you mean. Longs just hasn’t been the same since CVS took over. My favorite branch closed in June.
