DeSantis’ fault?
Isn’t the Great Barrier Reef supposed to be gone by now according to 90’s news stories.
NPR even couldn’t lie…

That was my first thought, that this is the “Great Barrier Reef is dying” hysteria all over again. Even after the Oz reef is seen to be thriving 20 years later.
Parrotfish demographics?! C'mon!
> The decline is a result of bleaching events which are driven by climate change, ship groundings and disease. <
If you are a scientist of any sort, you had better include climate change as a cause of any bad thing. Why are some electric cars catching on fire? By golly, it’s probably due to climate change.
It would be funny except that it’s bad science, and it will draw resources away from real problems.
I’ve been hearing this sh*t since the 70s. Damn I’m tired of it.
DRINK!
More room for bigger fish!
The Bee should do a story that the cause is actually from manatee feces washing out to sea.
There are many species of parrotfish. Parrotfish eat coral. The nice white coral sands near coral reefs are composed largely of parrotfish poop.
As I live on the Florida coast, this is of some interest to me. I would not draw any hasty conclusions.
The best source of information may well be the captains of charter fishing boats. I’d be interested as to what they really think.
I do know that everyone on Hutchinson Island is complaining about how bad the fishing has been over the past two years. OTOH, fishing has been very hot here over the past couple of months.
Who knows?
Sadly, I have about as much faith in climatology as I do in MSNBC.
> Parrotfish demographics? <
In my experience, parrotfish are all liars. They will lie to you just for the fun of it.
Never trust a parrotfish.
I thought Florida was a coral reef ,LOL
Is a legitimate science. Or, at least, it was before the politicians got hold of it ...
There has been an explosion of the population of lion fish in the Florida reefs. I wonder how this affects the health of the coral reefs. I understand it’s not good for it.
Just when I started to hate Lion Fish.
Stony Coral Tissue Loss Disease.
My mind is almost full of hate.
Experts need to tell me what I must simply dislike.
Parrotfish eat coral. That’s why they might want to study the population.
Yep, I knew climate change was the cause.
