The real problem is exactly who decides that the fraud justifies tossing out Biden and installing Trump, or having a new election immediately? Because we all know that everyone isn't going to agree with that, especially the roughly half of the country that voted for Biden. So what happens when one side says "yes, Biden must immediately be thrown out and replaced", and the other side says "no, we disagree"?
The courts have already come down on the side of "no". So...what happens next? And what percentage of Americans truly want that to happen? That's the image Trump's comments raise in the eyes of lots of people, and it isn't one likely to win him many votes.
Then the world will continue to suffer.
We’re facing the same problem the founders faced. No British court was ever going to legitimize their grievances and waiting for that to happen would have been fruitless. We’ll just have to work our way through this the best we can.
I think some are missing the point about the Constitution. The problem isn’t so much that there are flaws in our Constitution. Maybe the founders could have put some additional provisions in it that would have made our current predicament less likely, but ultimately there is no Consitution, however perfect it may be, that can provide a remedy once the reins of power have been taken over by criminals who refuse to abide by its provisions. A constitution is just a piece of paper. It requires a government that is faithful to its words for it to work. We’ve reached the point where that is no longer the case.
When the government no longer allows its citizens to seek a remedy for their grievances, it has become illegitimate and lost the consent of the governed. As far as our fellow citizens who don’t yet understand this, we’ll just have to explain it to them the best we can.
Bitem should be impeached and removed for being {one of} the most corrupt presidents in history. The man is a disgrace! Only 'Rats could conceive defending a crook who may be selling out his country for millions of filthy dollars. The evidence is circumstantial but CANNOT be ignored!
Unhappily, the Repubs do not have the guts to agitate for such.
Not even close.
