Not true. Zelensky and the Ukrainian Parliament are banning the RUSSIAN Orthodox Church, which is separate from the UKRAINIAN Orthodox Church and got caught feeding military intelligence information and targeting data to the Russian FSB and GRU.

So it's an anti-espionage measure instead of an anti-Christianity measure.

The ignorance concerning this story is appalling.

Mighty convenient. Kind of like when the left shut down churches over COVID. “It’s alright, they were spreading COVID”.

” it’s an anti-espionage measure instead of an anti-Christianity measure.”

You are an anti-Christian despicable liar. He shut down a major Christian denomination for no good reason other than to further antagonize the ethnic Russians. This action serves no useful purpose in shutting down espionage, that’s a phony excuse.

One of the Ukrainian Orthodox churches, the largest one, came from the Russian Orthodox church. As did the American Orthodox church.

Your ignorance is appalling. Ukrainian forces have been kidnapping and torturing Ukrainian Orthodox priests for some time now.

They are UKRAINIAN Orthodox, not Russian.

Anything in Ukraine with the tiniest historical link to Russia is persecuted.

Just like Prague is turning off water, heat, all utilities to any building owned by a Russian.

Russia has been using Orthodoxy for centuries to appeal to the people in Ukraine and Belarus. That was the device used to play divide and conquer to take these lands from the old Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, which embraced freedom of religion. It gets harder to do when Ukraine has its own independent Orthodox church.

Snake will want to ban the catholic church because it is in Rome and Judaism because of Israel. He is a leftist scumbag.

Zeepers like Snake try to conveniently forget that the call between President Trump and Zelensky was the basis for the coup and Colonel Vindman, the creepy “whistle blower “was a naturalized Ukrainian national who has been offered the position of Defense Minister of Ukraine two times by the Ukraine.

YUP... you got it right... only Russian aligned organizations. “Zelensky announces a decree banning religious organizations and churches in Ukraine with “ties to Russia.”

Was it the Russian Orthodox Church or individuals in the Russian Orthodox Church who gave information and targeting to the FSB and GRU?   You don't think Zelenskyy's Jewishness might be showing?

An anti-espionage measure would be to go after the perpetrators.   Banning the Russian Orthodox Church is an anti-Christianity measure.

On 8 November 2019, the Russian Orthodox Church announced that Patriarch Kirill would stop commemorating the Patriarch of Alexandria and all Africa after the latter and his Church recognized the Orthodox Church of Ukraine that same day.[96][97][98]

On 27 September 2021, the ROC established a religious day of remembrance for all Eastern Orthodox Christians which were persecuted by the Soviet regime. This day is the 30 October.[99][100]

That does not seem like the Russian Orthodox Church has anything against Ukrainians.

So it's an anti-espionage measure instead of an anti-Christianity measure.

Hogwash. If individuals in the church are committing espionage, they need to be dealt with specifically. Banning the church has nothing to do with stopping espionage. If espionage is really happening then simply banning the church would allow the individuals to continue to conduct espionage. You stop espionage by arresting the individuals concerned, not banning every organization they happen to be part of and imagining that makes them or their motivations vanish.

This move exposes once again the globalist, anti-Christian, anti-human agenda of the leftist elites in Washington and Brussels pulling the puppet strings on their slav/e Zelensky.
