“Trump needs an editor”

How true, and this is something that does not bother me about Trump.

It seems to me that many are duped by sweet talking politicians. Not me. I’m interested in what they do, not what they say, or how they say it.

A lot of people (including ones here) seem to be misunderstanding what Trump actually said regarding that.

Yep.

“The President of the Senate opens and counts the ballots.”

The President of the Senate also asks if there are any challenges, or objections, or whatever the Constitutional or statutory language is, to the validity of any state’s Electoral College vote count submissions. And then they thumb wrestle to see who wins, or something

So much confusion About where the rights in the constitution come from it seems, so much separation has occurred , too bad to see it too. Submit yourself to whatever man you choose , that’s what freedom in America looks like it has become , freedom to be a slave of whatever you choose. Choose wisely.

The declaration that the new Constitution if ratified by the states would replace the old Articles of Confederation was slipped in via procedure without basis in any specific substantive law. But it wasn’t challenged so we rolled with it.

So if there is fraud, are you willing to forgo your 2nd amendment rights?

To the contrary, if the fraud remains unchecked, I advocate using those God-given second amendment rights to return this country to its constitutional moorings.

That pretty much sums it up.

We have three options.

1. Violent revolt. But thats pretty messy. Not recommended.

2. Have congress and the states void the last corrupt
election and demand a new election, as Trump seems to be
suggesting, to have a peaceful resolution and a return to
free and fair elections.

3. Cheat as they do, as it has been accepted by the
other half. Start pumping red counties with mail in
ballots for any known person that has existed since the
first census in 1790. You may say two wrongs dont make a
right, but we need to understand, free and fair elections
have ended. Mailing out ballots to people who dont exist,
and having them counted is now legal. Shutting down voting
on election day, as in Arizona, is also a legal way to
win.

I go with option 3. We can probably produce 700 million republican ballots in the next election. We get drop boxes the size of cargo boxes, and count them until January.

Trump wisely starts negotiations with the biggest ask possible.

Wouldn’t it be nice to see Thomas Jefferson vote again? I would love that.

You are correct. That is exactly what Trump said in a Trumpish manner which often is in unusual English.

When only one side is observing the Constitution, and the other side is ignoring it with complete, total, and utter impunity, the Constitution is simply a piece of parchment, no better than the Constitution supplied by the Soviet Union to its citizens.

We, as Americans, have a sacred covenant with our government, and that contract has existed since 1789. Under this covenant, we agree, as Americans, to be governed if two conditions are met:

  1. First, that those who govern us are subject to the same laws we are required to observe.

  2. Second, that we are allowed to choose who governs us in free and fair elections.

It really does boil down to those two things. Much of the rest is negotiable.

I submit that on both counts, this covenant has been violated by our rulers and our Constitutional Republic is no longer legitimate.

Trump clearly said what he did, and it boils down to this.

And I agree with him.

Well, he said what is right there. Interpret as ye may. I'm a Trump supporter and a Republican, despite a terrible new tax system, and I don't cuss on Free Republic,
but I am pretty tired of Trump saying dumb ass un-Presidential shit that costs us elections.

See my reply above at #51.

The US Constitution, if observed, is the finest guide to government that has been created in the history of mankind.

If it is Observed.

Yep. Sarcasm isn’t conveyed in the written word. Trump was being sarcastic. He was pointing out that the lump of crap in the White House has already trashed the Constitution, as have Congress, SCOTUS.

Trump needs to hire a proof reader with exemplary political instincts.

Meanwhile, Trump has turned a completely reasonable legal argument into a political fiasco.

Re: January 06...

For several months, I have been arguing that no one can be charged with sedition or with disrupting a Congressional election certification unless the Justice Department first proves - beyond a reasonable doubt - that the election was fair and honest.

Trump lost the 2020 election by 43,000 votes, spread across three states.

It is impossible to prove that election was fair and honest.

I think it’s pretty clear what he said.

The question that I have is, “What Constitution?” Oh you mean that piece of paper that all politicians swear an oath to then $hit on with approval of biased courts? Trump is right once again, with fraudulent elections we don’t have a Constitution...
