ENDORSEMENTS ROLL IN: GOP Lawmakers Line Up Behind Trump, ‘Only He Can Stop This Swamp’

As Donald Trump prepares for his next run for the White House in 2024, he has already received endorsements. The former president is getting support from Republican lawmakers.

November 15 was the day Trump announced he was running for reelection.

“In order to make America great and glorious again, I am tonight announcing my candidacy for president of the United States,” he said at Mar-a-Lago, his Florida estate where he will base his campaign.

“America’s comeback starts right now,” Trump declared, proclaiming, “Your country is being destroyed before your eyes.”

“Under our leadership, we were a great and glorious nation — something you haven’t heard for quite a long period of time,” he added. “Now we are a nation in decline. We are a failing nation. For millions of Americans, the past two years under Joe Biden have been a time of pain, hardship and despair.”

“House GOP Conference Chair Rep. Elise Stefanik has endorsed Trump for president, referring to him as the “leader” of the GOP,” Just the News reported.

Republican Reps. Mary Miller of Illinois, Matt Gaetz of Florida, Troy Nehls of Texas, Ronny Jackson of Texas, Paul Gosar of Arizona, Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, Clay Higgins of Louisiana, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller and GOP Rep.-elect Wesley Hunt of Texas have also endorsed Trump.

“Our country is in a rapid decline thanks to Joe Biden and the Democrat Party,” Hunt said on social media.

Representative-elect Max Miller of Ohio announced he supports Donald Trump for the GOP presidential nomination in 2024.

“I wouldn’t be here without his support, and President Trump will always have my support,” he declared.

“Eli Crane of Arizona is another incoming freshman member of the House who is supporting Trump for president,” JtN continued.

While U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville of Alabama released a statement in support of Trump’s 2024 run, Texas Sens. Ted Cruz and John Cornyn haven’t publicly endorsed Trump. Cornyn told reporters he will “support the nominee of the Republican Party, but I think there’s likely to be a competitive primary election.”

The former president has some early supporters in Hollywood as well.

Actor Jon Voight, a strong supporter of Trump’s in 2016 and 2020, is supporting his bid for a second term in 2024. Trump awarded Voight the National Medal of Arts at the White House in November 2019.

“Let us pray that the one president who understood truths and had the best interests of the American people, the American dream, President Donald Trump, will return to the presidency,” Voight said in a video. “He and only he can stop this swamp. Allow President Trump to rebuild our soil and our land so we can rise to our glory.”

Several actors have endorsed Trump, including Robert Davi, Antonio Sabato Jr., and Randy Quaid.

“Listening to Donald Trump made me feel the greatest days of America could be ahead of us,” Davi remarked. “Donald Trump has the balls, common sense, and know-how to lift America out of the destructive path it is currently facing. He communicates plainly to the American people with bold clarity.”

There have been other celebrity critics of Trump’s third presidential run, including Elijah Wood, Mark Hamill, and Mark Ruffalo.

A longtime critic of Trump, Ruffalo argued that Trump has “done nothing for working class people or America except to take the GOP down.”

Trump’s announcement regarding 2024 prompted Johnny Damon, a former MLB player to endorse him on social media. Damon played MLB from 1995 to 2012 and was on the Kansas City Royals, Oakland Athletics, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Detroit Tigers, Tampa Bay Rays and Cleveland Indians teams over that time period.

There is one name that has risen to the top of Trump’s list of potential running mates.

Trump is seriously considering Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene, according to New York Times Magazine correspondent Robert Draper.

As Draper explained to The Daily Beast’s “New Abnormal” podcast “that Greene had risen quickly in her first term in Congress by using the same tactics she honed as a right-wing social media influencer harassing Democratic staffers, and she could shoot to the second-highest office in government,” according to Raw Story.

“Republicans kind of wanted to kick her to the curb immediately,” Draper said. “But instead, she became a fundraising dynamo, came to have this huge social media influence, and ultimately came to be very influential within the party itself.”

In addition, Draper noted that Trump has been seriously considering Greene as a potential vice president since February. According to the report, Greene has another quality that may boost her to the top even though he has undoubtedly evaluated others as well.

“She has been unflaggingly loyal to Trump throughout,” Draper explained. “What is Trump concerned about most of all in a VP after the Mike Pence experience? Loyalty. He knows that if he needs someone to fight for him to overturn a presidential election. He has every reason to expect that Greene would be by his side and would be his proximate warrior.”

IF Trump would win, it would be the most powerful voter-driven mandate any POTUS has ever had in history.

Ditto
“Nothing was done about the Leftist cheating in 2020” actually nothing was done about it in 2018, Trump was the freaking president and didn’t do jack squat about that then. Has yet to spend a dime to assemble those who could do something about it. This isn’t conspiratorial altered machines, counting in other countries, etc. It’s just simple cheating. You start by convincing our side and sharing the evidence with our side first. Even Republicans don’t believe it being the stupid party, they are so out of touch in their fake phony make believed msm world.

What is he going to do different now?

Has our military “changed” it’s mind to support him???

All he has is votes that will be STOLEN again.

He was all TALK, and now it’s TOO LATE!

One article say's Trump is finished the GOP is abandoning him, then another comes out voters have Trump fatigue and now the GOP endorsements for Trump are rolling in. Media wonders why we do not trust them?

As Rush explained, Trump has the voters, until they abandon him nothing the GOPe or press say makes a difference. They have to separate him from his supporters, they have yet to give them a reason to abandon him. Trump and his staff need to get their heads out of their collective a$$es. Vet his comments and who he meets with very carefully over the next few months. Being a political celebrity is different than being a TV celebrity. I am not sure Trump understands that despite the last six years.
