Crimea belongs to Ukraine. There is no more risk to retaking Crimea than there was to retaking Kherson.
The Crimera belongs the Russian which bought it from the Ottoman Empire under the rule of Catherine the Great. Ukraine one way or another has been apart of Russia for the last 1000 years. You might want to read a little history of the region.

Seems to me that Catherine the Great travelled there as part of he realm in the 1700s, and the British fought the RUSSIANS in the 1800s in the Charge of the Light Brigade.
No mention of Ukrainians.
