Yes they are. We’re in uncharted territory and there’s no blueprint for how to reverse things. We’re at the stage where we’ve lost representative government - at least to a large extent. The system no longer allows us meaningful redress. The Founders didn’t fight a war over taxes. They fought a war over the fact that they had no say in their government. No, I’m not advocating war, but we’ve reached the point where our federal government has lost its legitimacy.
