The Kremlin on Friday rejected U.S. President Joe Biden’s conditions that Russian troops fully withdraw from Ukraine before he speak with President Vladimir Putin.
In the strongest suggestion so far that he would be prepared to sit down with Putin, Biden said late Thursday he would be willing to speak to the Russian leader for the first time since the Ukraine invasion if he truly wants to end the war.
"There's one way for this war to end — the rational way. Putin to pull out of Ukraine, number one. But it appears he's not," Biden said.
Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters Friday that the Kremlin is not ready to give up the captured Ukrainian territories but remains open for talks “to achieve our goals.”
“The United States still doesn’t recognize the new territories as part of the Russian Federation,” Peskov said.
“This of course significantly complicates the search for some kind of mutual grounds for possible discussions,” he said. [Emphasis added]
Biden said he would be “happy to sit down with Putin to see what he has in mind” after consulting with his NATO allies.
"I'm prepared to speak with Mr. Putin if in fact there is an interest in him deciding he's looking for a way to end the war," he said at a joint news conference with French President Emmanuel Macron.
“He hasn't done that yet.”
Macron has said he will speak again to Putin after his trip to Washington and has warned against cutting off the Russian leader.
Biden and Macron both vowed long-term support to Ukraine in its fight against Russian invaders.

The first sentence is correct, and necessarily implies negotiations…and the second sentence completely undercuts the first by imposing a condiment that the Russians cannot accept. Which says that Biden either is stupid/senile beyond belief, or he doesn’t really want to end the war, or some of both.
“This business will get out of control. It will get out of control and we’ll be lucky to live through it.” Great line in a movie (The Hunt for Red October), but I didn’t think that we would have an entire administration idiotically rushing headlong toward a nuclear confrontation with a desperate and failing power in control of more (and more powerful) nukes than we have. Thanks to moron Biden voters and the RINO elites who were comfortable handing power to a blithering idiot (on his best day) suffering from dementia, all to eliminate a thorn in their side (the American people, embodied by DJT). God help us, because we sure seem incapable of it.

Well, if you seriously evaluate the performance and goals of the current California State Government and it's officers, plus the Prog Socialist Bay Area & Los Angeles Counties, California has already been returned to Mexico.
Anne Applebaum was on MSNBC talking to Mika and Joe stating that Biden has nothing to do with the war. How dumb can she be; Biden set Putin up to start and pay for the war when he shut down American Energy Production and inked the Russian Pipeline to supply energy to all of Europe. This pipeline allowed Putin to make a billion dollars a day to have the war.
