How the Midterm Vote Got 'Rocked' (Why there was no Red Wave after all)
Sultan Knish ^ | 01 Dec 2022 | Daniel Greenfield

Posted on 12/02/2022 2:19:40 AM PST by Chad C. Mulligan

*snip* In the midst of a terrible economy and a crime wave, Democrats were boosted by a demographic least likely to share adult concerns about the economy, schools and public safety, and most likely to be animated by phantom ideological narratives about social justice, abortion and global warming.

Democrats enjoyed the highest turnout for younger voters in a generation with a 31% turnout. Especially in Pennsylvania, Georgia and Michigan.

That doesn’t just happen.

Rock the Vote, which claims to be nonpartisan and can only operate only on the condition of not expressing a party preference, published an officially branded table, boasting that, “Why wasn’t 2022 a red wave? The youth vote. Young voters were the only age group with a strong majority support among Democrats.”

This partisan message, like the entire RTV agenda, is one big violation of the tax code.

The Gen Z voters are just getting started. I don’t believe the GOP has the first clue as to what to do about it. These kids are more socialist and atheist in their beliefs than any generation before them. It’s going to be a challenge.

Also, the mailed in ballots should be deleted by Congress for national elections.

Yes. It takes about 100 years, when a nation falls into socialism for it to fail bad enough where the people want to rebuild with the same spirit the Founding Fathers had.

Sucks to be us, but at least we had the chance to live in what America used to be.

Polls never indicated a massive red wave, that was all hype. Polls showed extremely close races, and that was the outcome.

“The average age of the world's great civilizations has been two hundred years. These nations have progressed through the following sequence: from bondage to spiritual faith, from spiritual faith to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency from complacency t o apathy, from apathy to dependency, from dependency back to bondage.”

These youth will never miss what we have or what our parents had. They never knew how it could be and if anyone tries to tell them, they think it was horrible and abusive and taking advantage of people.

I think you underestimate the amount of brainwashing that has taken place.

Will some youth figure it out and rebel? Yes, of course. But they (and us) are a minority.

personally, I feel like trump’s MAGA & America First have been a 6-7 crash course in American History & Civics as it has not been taught in schools for years plus historical monuments have been destroyed.

it was good to see trump’s 4th of july celebration. his trips to mt rushmore, his rememberance of veterans who fought for our freedoms

it’s been an uphill battle

There was a huge red wave, but there was also huge democrat cheating. Every demographic moved towards the Republicans, including the democrat base.

Contradicted by the few people who bother to show up to protest the election fraud. If what you say is true, there’s br protests with 10s if thousand and not just a few dozen

They were voting to get ‘their student loans discounted’—admitted as much on poll exit interviews.

Trump found a few Real Losers Like Dr Oz.

Yeah, you are right. We should have had a real winner like that huge ugly gob of flesh Fetterman who is retarded from brain damage and never held a real job in his life, or an even better candidate like that creepy perverted corrupt senile bastard Joe Biden.

We should look through the homeless shelters and mental institutions so we can find good candidates like the Democrats have.

It’s been decades since there has been any systemic effort to inculcate secular conservative values to young people.

A 30 year old who was not brought up in an Evangelical church has never in his life heard conservatism discussed in any kind of positive, to say the least of intellectually engaged, way. Not in school, and not in the media. (Conservative talk radio and Fox News have essentially zero audience in the 18-29 demo.)

Various flavors of progressivism, on the other hand, have near-total sway.

There’s no future for conservatism if that’s not changed.

No matter how unbiased or honest an organization is, every get out the vote campaign will necessarily benefit Democrats.

This is because every Republican that is going to vote will vote. Those who won't, cannot be shamed or pleaded into voting.

Meanwhile apathetic, lazy, and drug-laden Democrats can be bribed and cajoled into voting when they otherwise wouldn't.

Will there ever be a red wave again?

One good sign is that thousands of caring parents are switching to homeschooling.

In my area, even public school teachers are giving their children a homeschool or cyberschool education.

Many successful corporate women that I know have decided to leave their jobs to become fulltime Moms, with the time and resources to homeschool. They realize that the physical and psychological well-being of their children is far more important than any paycheck.

Their rewards will be greater as their kids grow up to be decent and responsible citizens. Who needs that retirement golden watch at the end of a secular career?

Good children who become good adults are a greater reward than all the gold in the world.
