Energy is the master commodity. Nothing beyond cave-man existence happens without it.
The first farmers 5,000+ years ago learned to harness a new source of energy - plow oxen. With it, they increased food production (energy for the human body)
And since then ALL human economic advancement and technology has been based on using more, better, and more dense energy sources.
We are at a bizarre juncture in history where our elites are proposing, for the first time ever, we use more costly and LESS DENSE energy sources.
The world will collapse if their vision is even partially realized.
1000% correct.
countless armies have been defeated throughout the ages without energy/supply chain.
The earth is one hell of a place, but without proper energy utilization, it simply can’t sustain 9+ billion people.
Imagine a genuine collapse of diesel supply—i’m talking the real deal. Then basically Manhattan becomes a city of 2+ million people packed into 22 square miles. No diesel means no fuel, which means no food, which means every man for himself.
Manhattan itself, if cutoff from the world can sustain what? a few hundred people at most if people were to start farming central park?
