It is possible to be concerned about both issues simultaneously.
The Biden Administration is clearly "dropping the ball" with regards to the protection of our southern border; one can legitimately even accuse the Biden Administration of actually wanting and even colluding to weaken our border.
This is deplorable!
However, that observation does not legitimize your "laughing" about the death toll (civilian and otherwise) in Ukraine directly due to the unprovoked Russian attack, continued invasion, and land-grab!
My utter disgust at the Biden Administration because of its traitorous border policies does not weaken in the least my argument that Putin's Russia is clearly the aggressor in this conflict, that Putin's Russia is clearly in the moral wrong, and that the world will be a safer place once Putin's Russia is taught one simple lesson: Invading peaceful neighboring countries will not end well for Russia!

No one gave a damn when Ukraine was being used by American, Russian and Ukrainian oligarchs as a massive money laundering base. No cared when Zelensky shut down any and all opposition to his control. Billions, BILLIONS of US taxpayers money has gone down the memory hole and no one knows where it went and Biden is shoveling more billions of my money to this little thug. "False Dilemma Fallacy''?!!
