The '68 Chrysler Newport was the car I learned to drive with. My dad owned that car and I remember getting a lot of practice changing out flat tires, as my parallel parking skills were atrocious and was constantly smacking into the curb. Another time, I drank a six pack with my friends and stupidly put the bag of empties (glass bottles) under the car and backed up over them.
Later on, when I was in the Marines stationed at Camp Pendleton, I bought a 1972 Oldsmobile '98 for $800 at a used car lot in Oceanside. The salesman who sold it to me was the classic sleazy salesman with a plaid sports jacket and a cigar in his mouth.
That Oldsmobile was a nice ride however, until the transmission fell out of it and I abandoned it at Mount Palomar.

I myself had a 1970 Mustang.
I had much fun with that car.
The small block V8 pony car would usually lose drag races with big block Mopar Chargers &
Challengers & Barracudas - but it was still a lotta fun!
