If McConnell rushes to pass the omnibus bill without the new House’s input, the Republican senators say he will be guilty of directly contradicting voters’ wishes.
I think that argument would resonate more if the GOP had gained any ground in the Senate.
As it is, there's a decent chance Warnock wins and the Dems increase their control.
So what were the voters' wishes?
A properly functioning Senate would not approve anything before January 1, 2023. A CCP controlled Senate will do whatever China wants.
McConnell WILL pass it. There is money to be made for The Turtle and his Chinese wife.
Don’t expect anything from McCarthy in the next Congress. He has already signaled that he is on board with an omnibus spending bill. McCarthy wants to control things. That means that he and few of uniparty friends will write the omnibus bill and sends it to the floor for vote before anyone can read it. Republicans will be told to vote for the omnibus bill. This is tantamount to disenfranchising Americans. Citizens’ voices cannot be heard in Congress because their representatives are not heard. Our votes mean nothing.
